Street Fighter V at CEO 2022: He Did it Again!

The results are in and Community Effort Orlando 2022 Street Fighter V has a winner! Derek 'iDom' Ruffin is the winner in the Steet Fighter V competition winning the final 3-1 against MenaRD. 

This makes this the second successive major that the Poison main is winning after his success at Combo Breaker 2022. iDom was absolutely dominant in his display as he started the top 8 like a house on fire beating a huge rival, Punk, 3-1 in the first meeting between the two in an offline major since the Capcom Cup final in 2019 which iDom also won. 

Also in the top 8 bracket were Brian_F, Kudo, NYChrisG, Shine, and Smug who has been scarce in competitive play. Punk attempted to make a run in the losers' bracket but was stopped by Kudo who defeated Punk 3-1 to advance to losers' final.

NYChrisG's advance to top 8 is also remarkable as he hasn't always been known for his Street Fighter V prowess. So making top 8 in such a stacked tournament is something to really celebrate. 

With this win, iDom has once again shown himself as one of the very best in the game and will now firmly fix his eyes on Evo to see if he can make 2022 the year of iDom.
