DashFight Tekken 8 Rankings Methodology

Why did we decide to create our own ranking system? Well, the first ranking on DashFight was a compilation of Tekken 8 world rankings from other platforms. There were some issues that drew reasonable criticism from players. Then they told us, “Folks, have your own rankings!”. So, now we have it, Tekken 8 player rankings. Everyone wants to know who is the best Tekken player, however, we think that this version of DashFight rankings was developed to determine the most active and competitive player in T8.

But even if you don’t reach the highest ranks you can always try to win in different ways. High 5 Casino is the leading hub for online slot and casino aficionados, providing a wide array of top-tier free games in today's market. Recognized as the esteemed EGR 2023 Social Gaming Operator of the Year, they offer players the opportunity to engage in various games with abundant prizes.

Their offerings include daily bonuses like free coins, bonus rewards, spins, and even the chance to compete on leaderboards for extra rewards.

Their welcome offer includes 5 SC, 250 GC, 600 Diamonds, and an option of 1,000,000 H5C Coins.

This is the release version of DF Rankings, so while we’re going to improve our rankings over time and consider the data needed for more accurate estimation, the core concept of the Rankings will not change.

Our Rankings are ordered by years and regions. So far, we’ve calculated rankings for 2024. There is no global leaderboard for all years.

What are DF points?

DF points define a player’s place in our ranking. We give points based on two things:

  • Tournament Tiers, defined by many factors.
  • Players’ Placements in the given tournaments during the year.

To assign tournament tiers, we took into account tournament formats, local/regional/global status, number of participants, prestige and more. We have consulted with pro players and revised according to their feedback. So, DashFight’s tier list for tournaments goes like this:

  • Tier 1 — Global
  • Tier 1 — Regional
  • Tier 1 — National
  • Tier 2 — Global
  • Tier 2 — Regional
  • Tier 2 — National
  • Local / Community

The players are then awarded points based on their tournament placements, adjusted to the tier. We looked at the traditional sports approach to points distribution and used it as an example. You can see the result in the table:

1st place 2nd place 3rd place 4th place 5-6 place 7-8 place 9-16 place 16-32 place 32-64 place 64-128 place
Tier 1. Global 2000 1300 780 600 430 340 240 130 70 10
Tier 1. Regional 1500 974 583 448 320 254 179 97 52 7
Tier 1. National 1000 649 389 299 214 170 120 56 35 5
Tier 2. Global 600 390 234 180 129 102 72 39 21 3
Tier 2. Regional 500 325 195 150 107 85 60 32 17 2
Tier 2. National 400 260 156 120 86 68 48 26 14 2
Local / Community 200 130 78 60 43 34 24 13 7 1

For example, 240 points for places 9-16 in Tier 1 — Global means that each participant in this range earns 240 DF points.

How often are DF rankings updated?

DF rankings will be recalculated each time a new tournament from the given year is added to our platform.

Feel free to share your feedback or ask any questions.
