Tokido Tries Out Akuma, Worried He'd Be Too Difficult To Use
The Evo winner has given his honest opinions after trying out Street Fighter 6's latest addition

Former Evo winner and legendary Japanese player, Tokido, has given his honest opinions about Akuma, the next Street Fighter 6 character to be released.

He did this in a YouTube video where he disclosed that he had attended the Real Battle Hub event that happened in Japan where visitors were allowed to try out Akuma and also a new build of the game which should have some of the proposed changes to be implemented in the game. Speaking on his thoughts regarding Akuma, he said he was impressed with his speed and reckons he might be the fastest character in the game in terms of walk speed. He explained his process of testing for speed which was to place Akuma and Chun li on the screen and with Chun li as the fastest character currently, what typically happens is if you have both characters walk towards each other, the faster character starts to push the slower one backwards bit by bit.

Tokido also mentioned that he reckons Akuma has low health and will probably be the squishiest character in the roster. As for his supers, Tokido loved them and particularly impressed with his SA2 which he said was really strong, but didn't have much reach.

As for whether he would play the character over Ken who he currently uses, he said that Akuma looks really technical and would have to test him out before really having thoughts on whether to main him or not.

Akuma will be coming out with a huge balance patch which will be available for players from the 22nd of May 2024.
